Form Yourself
A vocation promoter will only find success if they focus on being an instrument of God's initiative. The most important aspect of this is prayer; to be open to God's will and to form your heart to have a great love for the Church and zeal for souls that motivates your work. However the material we give God as an instrument is something we can make better by taking the time to become better formed in areas.
However, taking time to form ourselves is a way to make us better prepared to work in the ways God is asking. This page is aimed at providing simple quick resources to give you a greater understanding of vocations and how to promote them.

Study on Promoting Vocations
This short 3 lesson study was written specifically for Vocation Action Network members to give a basic overview of what we mean by promoting vocations and what we should know before we dive into this area of work. It is a great format to be used in a group setting such as a parish vocations committee or bible study. It is very formative and should be read individually as well. It can be downloaded or bought at the online store.
There is also a Study Guide that outlines the main points for each lesson and provides answers and direction to the discussion questions. It is a perfect addition to be used by someone leading a study group and also adds a lot for any individual that is reading through the study for personal formation. This is only available as a download.
