Vocation Challenge
A Gift for Pope Leo XIV in his first year as Pope
FROM: November 10, 2025 TO: June 19, 2026.
In 2003 Vocation Action Network ran a successful campaign to pray 100,000 hours of Adoration for Vocations, collecting over 125,000 hours, offering it as a gift for Saint John Paul II’s 25th Anniversary of his Pontificate.
In 2025 and 2026 Vocation Action Network is organizing a worldwide challenge for the specific intentions of inviting all young people to discern their vocation. We share the Church’s desire to rebuild a culture of vocations where everyone is invited to discover how the Lord is calling them to know, love, and serve Him. Vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, or holy marriages are all included in this Holy Hour Challenge.
How it works
Challenge participants will pray a daily/weekly/monthly Holy Hour for vocations using the resources on this page or of their own choosing. All individuals/groups/parishes/Religious Orders/schools etc. log their total Holy Hours prayed HERE Those who sign up for the Challenge can log their holy hours prayed each day/week/month or at the end of the challenge on June 19, 2026.
The Holy Hour for Vocations Challenge begins on November 10, 2025, the feast day of Pope Leo the Great and ends on June 19, 2025 the Anniversary of Pope Leo XIV ordination to the Priesthood.
The Total Hours Prayed will be presented to Pope Leo XIV as a gift to him for his first year of his pontificate. The names of all participants will be included with their total number of hours prayed.
